We've made it a nightly activity to go for a family walk after dinner. My children love to run, so we have races up, down and around the block. This adds a little extra cardio to the day and I'm the coolest Mommy ever.

I walk with my children every other day, I use them as my motivation to keep moving. Children have so much energy, keeping up with them when they are running and you are walking makes you want to pickup the pace and keep moving
If you have (active) children look at them when they play. They play hard and enjoy it. Try to forget to be an adult and play the way they do. They don't worry about burning calories or time. They just feel the wind in their face and the sun on their backs as they run, jump, bike or whatever. Laugh and play like a child. (You'll burn calories)
For those of you like myself who have children...don't just help yourself lose weight, help your child stay healthy and active. Do exercises that your child can also participate in at home such as dancing, walking, jumping jacks, etc. I enjoy the quality time with my child while still accomplishing my exercise goals.
