No Mail Clutter

When the mail comes in, I stand by the bucket and go through it right then and sort it. The bills get put in one area for the day of payment; junk mail gets tossed right away; and then another pile for the things I looked at and want a longer look (magazines, catalogues, etc). I toss all envelopes and unnecessary paper right then and there

More Information:

The longer look pile goes by my chair in the living room to look at while I watch the news and weather latter that day. Then it either gets tossed or put on my desk if there is something further I need to do (order something, further research or check with someone, etc.

  • Always remember to remove your name and addresses from anything you throw away. Shred tear or burn them to prevent identity theft. - by NORASPAT
  • Thanks for the great idea to eliminate clutter! All that mail piles up so quickly. Also a big chore if you let it go too long and you wind up putting it off. Taking care of it right away is the way to do it. Thanks again! - by MARCIAS22
