Be careful to not over-do the Zinc because it can cause a loss of taste which can be temporary

I have asthma and I'm going to give zinc a try on my symptoms. Asthma is not a virus but has many of the same symptoms as a cold. The OTC tablets that I have taken for years are no longer working on my symptoms and I may only find peace from asthma in space, which I can't afford and unless they need a Sr. Citizen Char women on Space Lab, that option doesn't exist. I don't think I've had a cold since I was a kid and once I was diagnoses with asthma, it put the cold in question. I wonder, if you claim do not drink citrus juice for 1/2 hour after sucking the zinc tablet, I would think you should not eat citrus either. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. emoticon emoticon

This remedy will not cut the cold in half but may cut the symptoms. A cold is a virus where there is no cure and has to run its course.

I've read this helps but haven't noticed any difference when I've taken zinc myself.
