After gaining about 49lbs from a divorce, stressed, holidays and thyroids problems, I was not feeling health and was having low self esteem issues. The Dr. that is treading for my thyroid problem got me motivated to start loosing weight because of all the issue that come withbeing over weight and having thyroid problems. I have since lost 10 by jobbing on the treadmill but am losing motivation. I jog less and less each day. I go weeks without jog and know I will not lose weight this so I nn

    I have battled low thyroid for years. After being faithful to weight watchers for 4 months and only losing 1 pound I gave up. I figured everyone tells me until your thyroid is in balance your fighting a losing battle. So I ate everything I wanted!
Now 50 is knocking at my door and the weight was accumulating quickly. For years I was around 183 then suddenly I hit 192. A friend and I started walking and decided diet would only help. In 3 weeks I have lost 14 pounds and I feel great. At 5'4" I have a long way to go but I decided this is a lifestyle change not a diet and I need this. After raising 4 kids and forgetting about myself now is the time. Feeling better will make for changes in your life. Don't let anything stop you- just let determination drive you!

    I have also had very simular problems.
I stayed with the SP program, bound and determined to lose weight, I started walking outdoors. I weighted 263 lbs when I started, and I could only walk 1/2 mile to begin with.
I now weigh 179 lbs and I can walk 10 to 15 miles a day when I have the time.
I sometimes lose interest and let my thyriod problems be my excuse. Then I realize how talking a short walk gets me motivated and how much better I feel after so exercise.

    Get back on the treadmill. Do it for only 10 minutes today. Then 12 tomorrow. Add 2 minutes every day until you get to an hour. You can do it! emoticon
