I have battled low thyroid for years. After being faithful to weight watchers for 4 months and only losing 1 pound I gave up. I figured everyone tells me until your thyroid is in balance your fighting a losing battle. So I ate everything I wanted!
Now 50 is knocking at my door and the weight was accumulating quickly. For years I was around 183 then suddenly I hit 192. A friend and I started walking and decided diet would only help. In 3 weeks I have lost 14 pounds and I feel great. At 5'4" I have a long way to go but I decided this is a lifestyle change not a diet and I need this. After raising 4 kids and forgetting about myself now is the time. Feeling better will make for changes in your life. Don't let anything stop you- just let determination drive you! - by IAMGIGGLEZ
  • I have also had very simular problems.
I stayed with the SP program, bound and determined to lose weight, I started walking outdoors. I weighted 263 lbs when I started, and I could only walk 1/2 mile to begin with.
I now weigh 179 lbs and I can walk 10 to 15 miles a day when I have the time.
I sometimes lose interest and let my thyriod problems be my excuse. Then I realize how talking a short walk gets me motivated and how much better I feel after so exercise.

Get back on the treadmill. Do it for only 10 minutes today. Then 12 tomorrow. Add 2 minutes every day until you get to an hour. You can do it! emoticon - by BEVERLYK08
