If red wine is on the menu, keep a large container of salt on hand. Pouring salt on a red wine stain right away will soak up most of the stain and may have to sit on the stain overnight. Vacuum up the salt, quickly pre-treat the stain with “Shout,” and then wash the area with cold water.
I took a shirt out of the washer and noticed a stain that I had forgotten to spray with stain remover. Since I keep my laundry basket in my closet I decided to keep my bottle of stain remover in the closet and spray my clothes when I put them in the laundry.
