  • I used to sell knives, and there is actually a knife especially for slicing tomatoes. It's called a "vegetable knife". it has a very shallow curved serrated blade. It is the perfect knife for slicing tomatoes into the perfect slices of any thickness or thinness. The beauty of the serrated blade is that it will cut into the skin of a tomato that can sometimes be a bit rubbery at first. These knives can be found anywhere for a couple of bucks. Look for the one with the long shallow curved blade that is serrated ( looks kind of like a small sword blade). Trust me, this is the best tomato knife of all. - by FUSIONDAD10
  • I agree as they work so much better, I have brutalized more than one tomato the other way! - by SUNSHINE99999
