I recently discovered research on Grapeseed and Safflower oils that indicates their high levels of linoleic acid actually help your body lose weight. Another benefit is both oils have very high smoking points, so they are excellent for cooking/deep frying. Grapeseed oil also increases HDL (good) cholesterol. Chicken fingers are back on the menu!
I don't care for the flavor of Grapeseed Oil, so I roast a whole head of garlic in the oven until soft. Then I squeeze the garlic into about 1/2 -1 quart of oil. The oil becomes garlic flavored in about 3 weeks and is fantastic for sauteeing.
