I love Cream of Wheat but I hate that it has no fiber. I always make it with skim milk for better flavor. I figured out I can use follow the recipe on the box except use 1/2 Cream of Wheat and 1/2 Oat Bran. It's just as smooth and creamy and tastes great, esp. w/1 teaspoon of real butter and a small sprinkle of brown sugar or honey.

Thanks for the great tip! I too am a Cream of Wheat for breakfast person. The grocery stores around here used to carry Whole Grain Cream of Wheat, but I can't find it anymore. Another easy way to add fiber to COW is to top it with 1 C of mixed berries (blueberries, blackberries and raspberries).
