To do a job quickly, I set a timer and try to beat it. For example, to clean the kitchen, I set the time for 20 min. It keeps me focused and you will be surprised what you can accomplish in 20 minutes. Putting clothes away? 15 minutes. Knowing I am playing beat the clock puts some fun in boring jobs.

I do this for chores I hate doing, like cleaning up the basement. By the time the timer goes off, I am usually so into it I keep going!

I have a water-proof 4-minute egg timer in the shower. I love trying to beat it and I do most days. Your idea of beating the clock while doing housework is great. Gonna try it tomorrow, My first goal - to beat your 20 minute kitchen cleaning time!!!

I like this idea, sometimes I put off what I don't want to do, and this might make it a bit easier. Allot a certain amount of time and GO! Thanks, great idea!
I'm not a big drinking water fan but I've figured out a way of intaking my 8 glasses of water a day, in an easy manner. 334 I have a cup from Flannigans, a local food and bar chain down here that holds 24 oz of water (three glasses!) at a time and I take down three of those babies. Sure not at the same time but it gets the job done! 306
