I got a fitbit and this little device tracks my steps calories and miles. I am so motivated to stay active because of this electronic pedometer. I'm taking the dog for longer walks, parking farther away, cleaning my house....

Getting a pedometer is the best incentive to exercise, and my fitbit which I invested in after Christmas has been brilliant as it syncs to my Spark account and my fitbit account shows me how much I have done each day, week and month, and gives me a daily nutrition guidance.
Having some kind of activity monitor - a pedometer, a heart rate monitor, and currently, my Fitbit has really helped me to keep track of how much I move. Some days, I reach my goal without realizing it and other days I haven't moved as much as I thought. It is a great way to motivate yourself to get out and exercise.
An inexpensive pedometer will give you the feedback you need, if you don't want to invest in something expensive.
