Putting baking soda on a bee sting actually works!
Mix baking soda with water to form a thick paste and slap it on ASAP. "The sting is produced by an acid and if you put baking soda on as soon as you can, it neutralizes the acid.:
If you don't have don't have have baking soa, wet the effected area and rub it with an uncoated aspirin; the aspirin will help control swelling, pain, and inflammation.

We used to put garlic on the sting and it seemed to work. It still hurt, but it wouldn't get too swollen.
