If you add a half cup of white vinegar to your load of exercise clothes, it will take away that stubborn sweat smell that is so hard to get rid of with just detergent alone...the vinegar will leave your clothes smelling sweet and fresh with no more lingering odor!

They say that the vinegar also removes the perspiration stains too.

My daughter suffers from multiple chemical sensitivities...and has had to purge her home of many of the chemicals most people use routinely. She washes with vinegar and baking soda with excellent results. If she does use a detergent, it is one with no dyes or perfumes(...like All Clear)

Thanks! I wondered how to get rid of the "work out" smell!

I'm going to start doing this immediately! Thanks for the tip!

What a great idea, I didn't know vinegar could do this. I will have to give it try this summer.

White vinegar is also a fabric softener. I use it and the dryer balls in the dryer to fluff them up. I can't hang clothes here in the condo, but I do when we are in NC.

Hi! You can add it either at the beginning of the wash or in the rinse. If you add it in the rinse, it will serve also as a fabric "softener". Either way, it will kill the odors!

    Thanks for the tip!

When do you add the vinegar? With the detergent or when you might have added fabric softener?
