As we begin to exercise more regularly during our weight loss journey, we notice aches and pain along the way. However we must realize that these aches and pain will be associated with the way that we desire to look at the end of our journey", thus....it hurts to look good! (Be sure you're able to distinquish if the pain is from working out incorrectly or if the pain is the result of building muscles}
Often times, we give up certain exercises because it hurts too bad to continue. But if we associate this with our future goals, then we realize that it doesn't hurt as bad as we thought.
Need another reason not to sleep through a morning workout? Get a buddy! One of the best things I've done on my journey to a healthier lifestyle was to join up with a SparkBuddy in my neighborhood to walk with twice a week. Not only to we motivate and encourage each other, we ENTERTAIN each other.
It's *almost* easy when you've got a like-minded Sparker at your side to get through a morning workout. We're so distracted by sharing life experiences and goals with each other, we hardly notice the sweat and/or minor aches and pains. I actually look forward now to getting up and getting busy!
For 4 years I complained to my doctor that I was tired all the time, and thirsty plus it seemed I could never quench my thirst. I had all sorts of aches and pains. I changed Doctors!! I finally went to an Endocrinologist and learned I was pre-diabetic and had a low level of Vitamin D. I now take Vitamin D and magnesium and adhere to a diabetic diet and I have no aches or pains any more. If you are thirsty or tired all the time..get A1C tested by your Doc and for a vitamin deficency.
