I love my almond butter! There are just two ingredients. Almonds and some water to make a paste. This is far better than regular peanut butter as its 100% natural with no additives. That way you know all the fat in it is the good kind. Only one problem. When you are getting to the end of the jar, it gets very hard to get out and spread as the water carrier is mostly gone. Tip: Store the jar on its side at all times and stir before taking your serving.
1 Tablespoon has 8g of fat and 100 calories, so you must be careful with your serving size. But if you need to make up fat or calories for the day, its great to have. The natural taste is wonderful, but if you miss the sweetness you get in peanut butter, just add some honey!

If you or your children have nut allergies and cannot use peanut butter or other nut butters, give SunButter a try. Unlike Soy butter (yuck), it tastes just like peanut butter. It is made from sunflower seeds I use it in recipes that call for peanut butter, so that my allergic son can safely enjoy them. I also spread it on toast or enjoy it any other way you would normally enjoy peanut butter.
