It is good to eat up to 10 g. of protein within 30 min. If working out. My favorite way to do that is to eat low calorie string cheese. It has 9g of protein and is not only low in calories, it is portable in your workout bag and helps cool you down. I also use it to get in sufficient calcium during the day and no carbs involved. emoticon

    great idea....as you said, very portable, very easy to do, and doesn't blow your calorie/fat/carb intake for the day. Thanks!

    My dietician said if you work out for one hour -with ANY ST in there- you should eat 15 grams of protein within the hour- with some carbs added to make 200 calories. I usually make a smoothie with past egg whites, greek yogurt, froz berries and light cranb. juice.
