I have two digital kitchen scales (Soehnle brand), a small, and a bigger one. I also have a bathroom scale to measure my weight. When I go on a trip, I bring them with me, and I continue scaling as I do at home.

I had a hard time finding ways to make exercise easier or more tempting for me. I had a hard time focusing on exercise while watching the TV, turning pages on a book or magazine slowed me down or tripped me up and music wasn't enough until I decided to start bringing my Kindle to the gym. I can read without it tripping me up. I love multitasking and reading - and now I can use books as a reward for accomplishing my goals!
We have a family of 5, so we end up with a lot of plastic bags from the grocery store. We bring them back and reuse them at the store, some stores will pay you for reusable bags (Price Chopper will credit you $.03 a bag). One trip to the store will credit me $.45, doesn't seem like a lot, but in a year, that's almost $24, and that's just for one trip a week!! We stick them in the small garbage cans (instead of buying little garbage bags). Huge savings!!
We use them instead of packing peanuts when shipping items. Why pay for something, when we have it already?? And I feel good about being able to reduce, reuse and recycle, along with the money I save.
