If you are roadtripping in the US, fast food is sometimes all you can find. Before I roadtripped in April, I looked online for the nutritional information on all the major chains. I copied and pasted everything under 500 cal into a Word doc, and printed it out. I alphabetized the chains for ease and speed. Result = no need to panic at the counter when ordering. I didn't lose weight the 2 weeks I was gone. But I also did not gain a single pound.

I write a list before I go shopping Ė and stick to it. I prepare a careful plan of what I want to buy before I go out, then stick to that plan when I go shopping. I donít put anything in the cart unless it is on my list. I have the same plan when I shopping for clothes.104
