The fastest way I've found to cut the grease on stovetop and other kitchen surfaces is plain old rubbing alcohol. It won't clean, but if you clean first, then apply the alcohol, you'll have a nice grease-free shine.

I soak kitchen linens [towels, rags, cloths] overnight in my washer. Regular detergent + Borax + non-chlorine bleach. Gets out grease, coffee/wine/berry stains, general kitchen yuck. If ya wanna be healthy, ya gotta cook. This means kitchen mess. Clean kitchen linens = a more cheerful cook!
My late grandmother taught me this secret. PS: the non-chlorine bleach keeps the colours from fading.
