I always lose count of which lap I am on when I do distance walking of the track. My mind wanders and then I'm like, which lap am I on? Now, I carry a pebble for each lap I want to do and toss the pebble after each lap. When my pocket is empty, then I am done! Now I'm free to let my mind wander, think, and dream!
Besides a Vision Collage, place a small jar filled with pebbles or marbles, one for each pound or half pound you have set your goal at. Take out the pebbles or marbles as you lose those pounds. Keep your jar on the kitchen counter or close to the refrigerator as a reminder to stay on track.

Someone inspired me to get past the initial struggle by quizzing me. "How do you move Mount Fuji?" -- One pebble at a time. If you can just get out there, beginning with the action of "doing it" as your only expectation, you will begin to move those pebbles. And soon you will gain momentum.
