I truly enjoy reading a few magazines and I save a lot of money by subscribing to them rather than buying at the store each month. What I have realized, is that by signing up to their e-zines online, I get a significant amount of content without buying the paper magazine. This saves even more!
I know that many people use the library to read magazines so they don't ever buy them. I like however taking the magazines with me for relaxing reading and I do tear out and save the articles that I want to keep. I also use the coupons. I then pass on the magazines to family or to the hospital.
