So I sautee vegetables at least once a day... and recently I've been adding a splash of apple juice to the mix when the veggies are almost done. It sounds weird, but letting the juice caramelize leaves your vegetables tasting even more delightful! emoticon + emoticon = emoticon

I've used apple juice when I saute cabbage. It helped take away any trace of bitterness from a grilled eggplant.

I will definitely try this and try substituting applesauce or finely shredded apple and let you know how it turned out.
