I find that having a workout soundtrack of upbeat music works great when I'm in the gym or taking a walk. My gym's music is awful and saps my energy but with my soundtrack, I feel energized and can get through the workout easier!

Walking is easier if you have music with a good beat to it. I listen to songs where each beat is a step. I especially like "Roll it Up" by The Crystal Method to get me started. (No lyrics, just instrumental.)
Picking out music that you like is the key, life is too short for boring music!
