First I soak those catch-all trays under my stovetop burners. After I clean the rest, I take a fork and lightly scrape at all that gunk cooked on them. Most of it comes off in seconds, then I use the scrubby for a quick finish.

If I'm fixing dinner after church, I peel the potatoes and get them ready. I turn the burner on and start them to boil then turn off the burner and let the pan sit on the burner. When we get home they are done and not soggy.
Lemon as Sore Throat Soother - Cut a lemon in half. Skewer one half over a medium flame on a gas stove or an electric burner set on high & roast until the peel turns golden brown. Let cool slightly, then mix the juice with 1 teaspoon of honey. Swallow the mixture. Lemon as Grater Cleaner - After shredding soft cheese or other sticky foods, go over both sides of the grater with the pulp side of a cut lemon to get rid of any residue.
