I have reached my desired weight, but find that as soon as I start adding more calories my weight goes up. How can I get my body to start excepting more food without gaining weight? My metabolism appears to not be working to good right now.

Eating too little, increase your calories
I got stuck at a plateau for over four weeks, but my workouts were intense. SparkPeople upped my calories, but I wasn't sure it was right, so I didn't change at first. I was stuck for a couple more weeks. I decided to "trust" this site and learn from it. Since I upped my calories two weeks ago, I've lost four pounds. They really do know what they are talking about. :)
At the top of every hour stop do 25 sit ups and 25 push ups. If you can't do a real push up do the modified ones. This will not only get you into doing some exercise every day but it will also help you to increase the amount of push ups and sit ups you can do. Also helps to add stuff to your Fitness calculator.
Do calisthenics during the commercial breaks when you are watching TV. The idea is to exercise intensely for the length of the break, as one would do in interval training.
