ADHDers are prone to addictions, which includes stuff like thinking constantly about food. To help satiate your dopamine seeking brain, start trying out new teas; and don't overload with sugars and milk, just switch teas a lot for variety. (I think it goes without saying to skip the caffeine)
I recently quit coffee and started drinking tea. At first I was buying chai tea lattes ($4.50 for tea and milk!) but now I take a box of tea with me in my backpack wherever I go. Even if I forget my mug, $.25 for a paper cup is much cheaper than $2 for tea -- which is only about $2 a box at the store!
I have a bit of a sweet tooth. Especially after a meal, I feel I need something sweet. Lately I've been substituting unsweetened, no milk, tea for sweets, this stops my cravings for sweets and tea only has 4 calories per 12 oz. My favorite tea - Read My Lips - David's Tea
