I allow myself two reasonable "cheat meals" on the weekend. I plan ahead so that my breakfast, lunch & snacks for that day are low fat, low cal and filled with nutrients. I then allow myself to enjoy a special meal- for example- pizza night with my husband and son. I don't overdo it, but end up enjoying the meal & quality time.
I plan ahead when eating out. I decide where I'm going before I even leave the house. Then look up that restaurants nutritional info on the web to decide what I'm eating before hand. That way I don't get side tracked and I don't end up eating something I think is healthy but really isn't.
