I like to listen to "This American Life" on NPR. I let myself listen to it when I'm exercising and no other time. When I listen to this podcast, or another one, I don't want to stop exercising until it's done so I get in a full hour workout. 30
The last few years have been very stressful for me and it is very hard to shut down my mind at night enough to go to sleep. I started listening to audiobooks on CD when I went to bed. I listen to them and it keeps me from worrying about everything and I drift right off. It works better for me than a TV because it shuts off at the end of the CD and there is no change of volume when a commercial comes on or when a new program starts.
I get CD's from the library, so it doesn't cost me anything either!
Listening to podcasts while exercising makes the time go by quickly and you can learn something at the same time.
I love filling up my Ipod with my favorite podcasts and going for a long walk. Pretty much any topic you have interest in there is a podcast for. I get mine through the Itunes home page.
