Members Were Sparked
Frozen vegetables really are just as nutritious as fresh. Mineral content and vitamin content is almost the same. Just make sure you donít select blends that contain sauces, high salt, high sugar, or other unhealthy additives. Use in soups, chili, casserole dishes, sauces, omelets, stir-fries, steamed side dishes. Frozen green pepper bits are economical at $1 a bag, check out frozen brocolli, califlower, spinach and more. Some times you can save $$$'s.

When shopping for groceries stick to the perimeter of the store and avoid the aisles. The perimeter usually contains your produce, meats, dairy aisle and bakery allowing to reduce the amount of processed and sugary foods you purchase.
The frozen vegetable aisle is also valuable, but avoid the sections of ice cream and frozen pizzas.
