Frozen vegetables really are just as nutritious as fresh. Mineral content and vitamin content is almost the same. Just make sure you donít select blends that contain sauces, high salt, high sugar, or other unhealthy additives. Use in soups, chili, casserole dishes, sauces, omelets, stir-fries, steamed side dishes. Frozen green pepper bits are economical at $1 a bag, check out frozen brocolli, califlower, spinach and more. Some times you can save $$$'s.

  • I freeze fresh local produce myself. This way I know what I am eating. Especially if I want pre-mixed varieties. - by BLUEKITTYJAN
