Mindless eating -grazing- can be such a problem for me from time to time I have found myself hanging onto the open refrigerator door surveying it's contents for something I will won't to eat. Not hungry. Not craving. Often emotional eating.

To curb and ultimately conquer this tendency my Bariatric specialist recommended a full length mirror attached to the front of the refrigerator door. Seeing myself coming at myself shook me into reality and conscientious of what I am doing at the time . Purchased an inexpensive mirror.

For the past two years I have used my bookmarks as a visual clue, somewhat like Chris Downie used his vision collage. I put my completed 2009 bookmark with monthly stars on my bedroom mirror and my 2010 bookmark with its stars-to-date on my refrigerator as frequent reminders of my maintenance goal. For 2011 there is no bookmark,so I copied the page from the maintenance Pocket Guide for my refrigerator, moved the 2010 bookmark to my bedroom mirror, and put the 2009 bookmark on my bathroom mirror
To rise & shine & exercise 1st thing in the AM I set my CD player to alarm w inspirational get up & go music cued to play. The CD player is too far from the bed to shut off. I must get up. On the wall is a full length mirror facing me. I see me. I exercise. I402231402
