As you go about your day, take one minute and clean that spotty mirror or that splattered-on microwave. Also, did you just use a screwdriver or hammer; put that tool away right now! I know it seems easier to drop it and get it later, but trust me, it's not! Due to my disabilities, I've had to work smarter, not harder. The other part of this I learned from my crafting hobby; once you use something, put it away when you are finished. Seems simple and it is; we need to just do it! Trust me!

I used to find myself fighting for time to get to the gym until I learned that even the simplest things can burn some SERIOUS calories. How long do you usually spend cleaning your house? For me, with a toddler, baby, and a very messy husband, I find myself cleaning for 2-3hours at a time. I burn a little over 245 calories an hour just moving around the house, and that's just basic cleaning. Pick up the pace and that number goes up more.
That's more calories than you'd burn walking a 2.5 mph pace for an hour! 48 minutes pushmowing the lawn gets me up to 350 calories. If you put your mind to it, anything can become a workout.
