Whenever I don't feel like exercising, I remember what I read on someone's blog once , , "Exercise is a privilege." Consider yourself blessed that you are able to still walk, run, and exercise, when so many others cannot due to age, illness, or handicap. It really make you not want to abuse the privilege!

Getting your kids to cooperate with you
Rather than take away a privilege, my children earn their privileges. Everyday they are expected to cooperate. They can earn up to 9 sticks in a day (3 sticks 3x a day) If they earn 6/9 sticks they earn privileges for the next day. If not, the following day is very boring but they can try again!
MORE INFORMATION:
They earn up to 3 sticks for each portion of the day by being cooperative. When they reach 6 sticks they get to choose privileges they enjoy like time with a parent, extra stories, hot lunch, etc. I think this could work for grown-ups too--Hence the brilliant sparkpoints we earn9
I have a post-it note on my mirror that says "Working out is a privilege." It motivates me to exercise and reminds me that I am fortunate to have the ability and opportunity to work out on a regular basis.
I used to HATE exercising. Really hate it. And then I found Zumba and fell in love! When I have to miss class, I feel like a privilege has been taken away from me. So my secret is that I found something that makes me feel like it's so much fun that I am missing out when I can't do it!
