When things get rushed and I can't get to the gym or I grab the wrong kinds of food. I make myself stop and breathe and say to myself "OK, positive thoughts" then I focus on the positives. Example - I walked at lunch, or I passed on the cake or I will walk around the soccer field

Stayed focused on the positives on your journey. Just because you hit a plateau or a rut doesn't mean you can't get out of it. Don't focus on the negative aspect of it but look at it as a time to reflect and adjust so you can get back on track even stronger than before. Instead of focusing on a life problem, it helps to get out and exercise, jog, go to the gym, put a video to work out at home. The problem won't disappear, only with focus on being positive for yourself, coping and resolution are conjured up. Exercise is the best arsenal stress relief.
