My coworkers like to keep mini-candy bars at their desks, and I like to eat them! But the appeal is that they are free. So I implemented a 25 cent tax on each candy bar for myself. If I want candy, I have to pay for it. No longer do I eat 4-5 mini-candy bars a day thinking they don't have any consequences. My quarters are precious!

Need a little help passing up on the candy jar or left over deli sandwiches from the big bosses meeting? Think of the candy jar as a 'cootie' jar. Think of what the other people in your office had on their hands when they reached for a snack. Did they wash their hands after wiping their nose or going to the bathroom? Did they sneeze all over that potato salad when no one was looking?
Do you want to have a little restraint at the pot luck? Have you seen so-and-so's desk? How do you think her kitchen looks? Are you sure you want to eat what she brought to the pot luck?
ok. It will now be very difficult to eat any food you didn't make.
Since making the decision to eat healthy and lose weight I've had co-workers bombard me with goodies. I politely decline but they don't take no for an answer. So I simply take the treats & put them out of sight then later give them away. I am determined to not allow others to undermine my health!
Buckling under pressure hurts me & my health while doing nothing but appeasing my coworkers
