Semi-Frozen Water

This Sparked Me!

I fill a 2-cup container with water and place it into the freezer for approximately half an hour. It chills the water just so that it's starting to freeze and I put the bottle in a "cozy" to keep it very cold.
"Ice water" is my favorite beverage and it really hits the spot after I've been working out or working in the garden - PLUS it takes a few more calories to process and get the water up close to body temperature.

I do this all the time! You can sometimes freeze a bit of water in the bottom of certain bottles. Ive actually had more luck with the cheap store bought water bottles then the nicer nalgene ones as the frozen water expands and cracks spendy bottles (ironicly) Cheap bottles have several indents for structure that the water can push at and so dont crack the bottle. However, if you reuse them cheap ones, ive had one Earth2o bottle last me a year of regular freezing and use. Stuff into a sock or cozy and go! emoticon
