I fill a 2-cup container with water and place it into the freezer for approximately half an hour. It chills the water just so that it's starting to freeze and I put the bottle in a "cozy" to keep it very cold. "Ice water" is my favorite beverage and it really hits the spot after I've been working out or working in the garden - PLUS it takes a few more calories to process and get the water up close to body temperature.

When I'm craving something sweet and cold, I go for about 1/2c of organic frozen dark cherries, put them in a bowl with about a 1/4c of almond milk (or skim or soy or yogurt even) and eat them up! The milk semi freezes the cherries and it's almost like Cherry Garcia ice cream.... only really good for you!
Sometimes I'll add a few fresh berries as well, just to amp up the nutrients! yum yum yum!
