I have started using a saucer to use as my portion control apparatus. When I fill the saucer up that is it! I eat no more for at least 2 hours! ! I try to eat 6 small meals a day. This has helped with the shrinking of my stomach!

So this is probably a no-brainer for most people, but for me it was a revelation yesterday. I went through four glasses of water with my supper simply by taking one bite of food and then one sip of water. I hate water, so this was a major deal! I'm also not used to drinking anything with my meal; I prefer to save it for the end. But I found not only did I get the water down, but it wasn't so bad since I knew I could have a bite of something tasty right after my one sip.
Another 'benefit' of this method is that you feel full faster, so you may eat less for a meal too.
Don't want to give up your favorite salad dressings or suffer the guilt from the fat and calories of eating them? Try dippinf your fork in dressing before each bite or putting a bite's worth of salad on your fork and dipping a forkful of salad in the dressing. You give the flavor, but use much less.
I always get dressing on the side of course todo that trick and use condiment dishes or olive oil dishes...small saucers to do the dip method at home.
