Have bugs or worms getting into food products? Put a stick of spearmint gum (still in aluminum wrapper) in your flour. Place a stick in the cupboard where mixes, etc are. It works in the pet food container also.

    Good idea! Bay leaves work pretty good too.

    We have 2 cockatiels and a lovebird, so we have seed. Pantry moths have been having a field-day with the grains. We bought traps, but I like the gum idea! emoticon

    Back when I lived in Seattle and shopped mostly at a co-op, I got grain moths all the time...nothing like opening up a bag of long-grain rice or millet and having a little flock of bugs fly out of the bag! :D
