I didn't like cardio machines at the gym until I started switching every 15 min. I can do a whole hour on 4 different machines and it's a lot easier to manage then just the eliptical or tredmill for an hour.

Great idea! I get bored incredibly easily doing any kind of cardio, particularly in a gym. The only way I'd thought to change it up was to do interval training (run 2 min. max incline 2 min. run 2 min etc.).

What a great idea! I feel cardio is the key element in losing overall weight. I love the elliptical machine and watch my favorite programs while on it. Will try switching machines to add more fun to my workouts!

To keep exercise interesting, I break my cardio routine up among different machines and around strength training.
I really don't like going to the gym, mostly because when I get there, I just don't feel like jumping on one of the cardio machines. I started riding my bike to the gym, and not only does it get me warmed up, I enjoy myself, get into a good mood, AND I find that I last twice as long on the cardio machines. Which adds up to an extra 30-60 minutes of exercise!!!
If you find yourself hanging on to the cardio machines at the gym for dear life, turn the machine down a bit and LET GO! Don't let the machine help you along the way. You will burn more calories going slower by yourself than faster, using the bars for support.
