To keep those pesky yet playful squirrels out of your bird feeders add some cajun or red ground pepper to your bird seed and stir it in. The birds aren't affected by it at all. One sniff of it and the squirrels turn tail and won't touch your seed again! It works better than any of those silly domes or deterrent. And is a LOT cheaper! emoticon

    I already had the problem with the cats too. But luckily my neighbors that had all the cats moved and took all the cats with them. The few they left behind I assume were either picked up by the pound or adopted by other neighbors. emoticon

    Another possibility, lower the bird feeder to about two feet off ground level, combination bird and cat feeder (grin). Seriously, I liked the suggestion.
