To keep those pesky yet playful squirrels out of your bird feeders add some cajun or red ground pepper to your bird seed and stir it in. The birds aren't affected by it at all. One sniff of it and the squirrels turn tail and won't touch your seed again! It works better than any of those silly domes or deterrent. And is a LOT cheaper!

When I was younger, I overspent and treated money casually. Now, in retirement, with large medical expenses, I am hardly casual about money anymore. In fact, I've become a squirrel....squirreling change, $5 bills, and even $20's occasionally. Every couple of months or so, I go into my 'stashes' and tally=up. Wow!! It's always a nice surprise - and the money goes right into the bank as a nice deposit. It's become a game I play with myself.....a very profitable game!!104
I have 2 birdfeeders on a shepherd's crook type hanger. The squirrels LOVE to climb up & eat the birdseed, so I took some Crisco out and greased the pole. (It's metal.) It's so much fun to watch the little critters jump on the pole, then slide back down to the ground! Only problem, I have to re-grease it about every other day!211
