    This brought back memories, and then some! :o) Thank you! The first memory is of my Late Grandmother who was born weighing 2 lbs. She lived to be 100 years young, and truly believed, as well as practiced daily 1-2 glasses of hot water every morning would keep her "bowels" moving. Smiling...she skipped the lemon juice due to acid reflux, and argue once we never did. She must have know her body well! She joined God 3 years ago, this up coming January. To think she was born in the early 1900's @ 2lbs. and LIVED TO BE 100 MEANT she had some great guidance, and many of her ideas were life extenders for sure!

At the tender age of 12 I weighed 200 lbs. Diet Center was my first diet ever, at that time. Each morning I'd start my day with an 8 oz. coffee mug of steaming hot water and lemon juice. Memories!!! Took all I had to get it down, but it worked!!!! :o) Thank you so much for sharing this~it brought back truly precious memories....especially of my Grandma Lela.

    Hi Smilindi, wow 100 years of life for your Grandmother!!
I too, did the diet center drinking the lemon water. In those days we didn't have Splenda, I think I may have sweetened with Sweet n Low, not sure.

The lemon with hot water plain is harmless and maybe it does help with one's inner workings. It can't hurt.

    My great- grandmother always did this so now I am going to start doing it; either hot or cold but definitely with lemon juice added.
