When I make fat free salad dressing I add a tsp of either Thick & Thin Not Starch, or xanthan gum. This makes a nice thick texture, and the dressing sticks to the salad better. It also adds healthy fiber to my diet.
MORE INFORMATION:
I only use this when I have other fat in the meal to make sure I can absorb all the nutrients in the salad. I like to add Goat Feta or avocado to my salads. That's when I whip up a fat free dressing to save calories.

I will have to try that!! Thx for the tip! I love salads, but the dressings will rack up some cals and the reason I don't like the fat free stuff is cos it's soooo runny! I use the spray on kind right now, but this is a great tip for my next shopping trip!

I love salad dressing and am not a big fan of most fat free varieties. I usually put my salad along with 2 tbsps of my favorite dressing in a large zipper bag and shake until all of the salad is coated. That way I get the extra flavor, without having to add more dressing!
