We buy our medications from the same store we buy food. We are on a lot of medications and Dr recommended supplements. We save the receipts and the gas mileage counts towards our medical mileage deductible. Every little bit helps but it sure mounts up for us. Keep all of the receipts and circle the supplements on the grocery receipt.

We have no health insurance, so drug costs are a big deal. I call all the local pharmacies and purchase the medicine at the one that's cheapest. One drug was $240.99 at one store (the highest), but $151.00 at another!
Through alternative medicine such as acupuncture I have learned that some foods that may be healthy for some people are not healthy for others. For example, currently I should not eat any cold or raw vegetables or salads since I have a spleen/chi deficiency which produces way too much phlegm in my body. I have gone from being on 14 different prescription medicines at one time to only one for my thyroid. I have found that the prescriptions that I was on were actually causing my health problems.
I have lost 15 pounds just by getting off of the medications some of which were causing me to gain weight.
I've started adding an "errand" I can walk to onto my trips to the gym -- for example, on the way there I'll walk to the cash machine, or on the way home I'll walk to the drugstore to pick up a prescription. It's a great way to do a little bit more warm up or cool-down...and even on days when I don't have time to go to the gym, if I can get in a walking errand, at least I can count that as a little bit of cardio! 224
A side benefit of this is that I can track how fast I can get to and from things in my neighborhood for future reference: "Oh, the bank? Ten minute walk from my place."
