I don't really remember where i heard of this, but if you behave five days out of the week and indulge more on the weekends, it reduces cravings and spikes metabolism. Also, it's a nifty reward for behaving five days out of the week!!

MORE INFORMATION:
KEEP IN MIND: Indulge more does not mean a free for all. It just means you're a little bit more free to eat the food that isn't great for you, such as chocolate, snack foods like funny bones, caffine, etc. But you have to keep on track the other five days. By the way, I'm living proof this works!

I have such a hard time sticking to my healthier foods on the weekend! I work 10 hours days Mon-Thurs so my meals are completely planned out for the day and I exercise after work before dinner. Routine! But weekends are chaotic and my plans are constantly up-in-the-air. This is where I fall. Boredom and the unexpected. I eat that one piece of chocolate...and it leads to two...three...then chips! Ugh! But the next day, I do find that the cravings are gone. I believe pre-portioning a "snack pack" might help for these cravings.

Preoprtioning IS very smart. Again it's all about the limits. As long as the bad stuff isn't all you're eating, or a majority, then it should be absolutely fine. I'm a weekend craver myself so I've had to learn the limits the hard way!!!!!!!!!!!!
