Changing My Exercise Routine Up

I love my elliptical, but find it really boring staring at the same spot on the wall for 30 minutes. So, I decided; why not change it up a bit. I will work on the machine for ten minutes, and then do wall push-ups. Get back on the machine for another 10 minutes, and then work with the resistance bands. Hop back on the machine for my last ten minutes, then walk laps around my back yard as a cool down. Sometimes I will do some crunches, and so on. I am more willing to keep working out if I change it up!

    If you listen to music (earphones with CD player, IPOD, play the radio, whatever) while using the elyptical, you can pretend you are dancing, moving your hips and legs to music. Dancing is never boring. emoticon

    You are so right! I sort of do the same thing on my treadmill and stationary bike and breaking it up with something else really helps me stay focused on getting the miles done.
