This may sound like a no brainer but I needed to be reminded to eat more slowly. Time yourself. You might be surprised to see how quickly you are eating. When I slowed things down, I really savored the choices I made and I found I didn't need to eat as much to feel satisfied.

Slow down - eat slower. It takes your brain time to catch up with what you're eating. Put down your fork or spoon in between every single bite - you'll be amazed at how slowing down and taking time to enjoy/savor your food helps!4
