When my husband (who has allergies) or I (who is susceptible to bronchitis) get a cold and it ends up in the lungs, we have cups of hot water with honey, lemon, and cayenne pepper! The honey soothes the throat, the lemon gives a boost of vitamin C, and the cayenne helps break up the phlegm and helps you cough it up! Put as much in as you can stand. One time my husband had a really stubborn sinus/lung thing going and he ate a bunch of habanero salsa and coughed it all up in about two doses! :)

One of the most powerful things that SparkPeople has taught me is that although I can & will be imperfect, I can still be a success! If I miss a workout or go over on calories, I don't throw the towel in for that week, or even the whole day. I look at how far I've come & jump right back in.
