I do not like the consistancy of oatmeal! But I know the benefits of it. So instead of 'gag me with a spoon' by eating it the traditional way- hot water and making paste with it- I grind it in my magic bullet and make it into flour. I blend it with whole wheat flour to make healthy chocolate chip cookies for my family- they love it!
I measure the oats BEFORE I grind them and then add to recipe with the whole wheat flour. If a recipe calls for 2 cups flour, I measure the oats as 1 cup, grind and then measure whole wheat flour.
