I try to cook more than 1 meal at a time in my crockpot. For example, the other day I cooked a mixture of chopped onions, celery, garlic, carrots, mushrooms & ground turkey underneath pork chops. When the pork chops were done, I portioned out the ground turkey mixture in 10 oz. servings (bcuz I cook for 2) & froze them. Now I'll have meat pre-cooked for spaghetti, stir-fry, etc. The broth underneath was put in a container in the fridge & the fat removed the next day. Now I have homemade broth, as well.
