I have a 16 month old (27 lb) toddler that wants to be a part of EVERYTHING I do! So.. While Holding her, I do squats! I do 2 sets of 10 to start off (you try it holding 27 lbs!).. And while counting out loud, I'm also teaching her NUMBERS! She loves it and thinks its a learning game and I get to burn away my thighs! Now that's multi-tasking!

I should give her the credit! She barely leaves me alone (including bathroom breaks!) and if you're a mom, you know exactly what I mean! LOL I've been doing exactly as directed from my older sister and "cherishing this time while it lasts..."

Do calisthenics during the commercial breaks when you are watching TV. The idea is to exercise intensely for the length of the break, as one would do in interval training.

Instead of doing boring lunges and squats, I pick up one of my kids and do a weighted squat. They love it and fight to be the one who is my weights! I also do a lot more than I would have done with out the giggling smiling faces coxing me on.
