Craving a cheesy popcorn snack like Smart Foods White Cheddar Popcorn? Here's a healthier alternative. Pop a bag of 100 calorie popcorn, pour it into a bowl, and top it with 2 tsp. of Cabot's Cheddar Shake Powdered Cheese. It only adds 25 calories and 1g of fat, 1 g of carbs, and 1 g of protein, but has that great cheddar taste and makes for a very satisfying snack.
An 8 oz container of Cabot Cheddar Powder sells for $5.39 and can be purchased online at the Cabot Cheese website or found at many grocery stores.
Instead of croutons on your salad, try crumbling a rice cake over it. Rice cakes come in many flavors these days, including my personal favorite, white cheddar - which weighs in at a mere 40 calories for a regular sized rice cake.
When I am feeling hungry between meals I will drink a glass of water and eat a rice cake. Usually that will satisfy the hunger. If I am wanting something sweet I will have the caramel or chocolate flavor and if I want a salty or cheesy taste I have the white cheddar flavor. This combo works for me.
