I love to read and I have combined reading a good book with staying active. In order to get motivated to walk or exercise, I listen to books on my I Touch. I have listened to two books this month (60 hours each)! I can't wait to finish the third book. Music after teaching second graders is not a good idea, so listening to books is worth every second!

Listen to interesting Books on Tape or CD by your favorite author while exercising
I ride the stationary bike 5 days a week at my work's gym for 50 minutes. I have found that being consistant, every work day has made it a habit, but staring at myself in a mirror isn't very exciting. I listen to a favorite author who is interesting and involving and the time flys by.
I've discovered "Listening" to books on my MP3 device. I download a book and I'm off and WALKING as I listen! I can't listen to the book...unless I am WALKING. It is very motivating...it makes me get out there for my 10,000+ steps a day!213 It makes it easy to attain my goal!
